Our Services
Our Occupational Therapists can help you and your child with:
- School readiness skills - such as developing fine motor abilities, play skills and socialisation, following a routine, sitting at a table and becoming more independent.
- Motor skill development - involving coordination, balance, strength and using two sides of the body together, e.g. working towards learning to ride a bike or climbing.
- Fine Motor control and coordination - e.g. pencil grasp, handwriting, letter formation and using scissors.
- Sensory Processing issues - that impact attention and affect functional everyday skills, e.g. fussy eating, avoiding dressing/showering.
- Sensory and Emotional regulation - strategies to assist in developing self awareness and independence in this area.
- Visual Perception - e.g. children experiencing difficulty processing visual information such as learning to read, copy and hand eye coordination.
- Completing daily activities - e.g. feeding, toileting, dressing, hygiene or tying shoe laces.
- Learning - remembering, planning or problem solving and organisation.
Clinic Sessions
We offer Clinic based Occupational Therapy Sessions.
Session durations in clinic from 30-60 minutes.
Community Sessions
We offer Occupational Therapy School or Pre-school Visits after liaising with your child's teacher.
School or Pre-school visit durations from 30-60 minutes.
We offer Occupational Therapy Home Visits.
Durations from 45-60 minutes.
Telehealth Sessions
We offer Telehealth Occupational Therapy Sessions via online platforms.
Durations vary from 30-60 minutes.
Therapy Assistants
We offer Therapy Assistant Sessions. Our Occupational Therapists provide guidance and supervision to Therapy Assistants to continue working towards your child's Occupational Therapy goals between sessions with your therapist.
Session durations vary.
Social and Life Skills Group
The Social and Life Skills Group at Pathways Children's Therapy Services is a group run by Occupational Therapists, consisting of 4-6 young people. This group includes community access and utilising public transport, cooking and executive functioning, and focuses on social skills and forming friendships.
We are currently running this group for high school aged children.
This group runs fortnightly Monday 4.30 - 6pm.

High School Transition Group
The High School Transition Group at Pathways Children's Therapy Services is a group run by Occupational Therapists, consisting of 4-6 young people. This group focuses on executive functioning, utilising public transport, social skills and forming friendships.
We are currently running this group for children in Grade 6 and Year 7.
This group runs fortnightly Friday 5 - 6pm.

LEGO Club
The LEGO Social Skills Group at Pathways Children's Therapy Services is a group run by Occupational Therapists, consisting of 4-6 children. This group uses LEGO as a medium to promote shared enjoyment, cooperative play, friendships and builds social competence.
We are currently running this group for 7-11 year olds.
This group runs fortnightly Wednesdays 4.30-6pm

School Readiness Group
Pathways Children's Therapy Services offers a School Readiness Group to help your child start school with confidence.
The group focuses on the following areas:
- Social skills; playing with others, turn taking, sharing, making friends and managing conflict.
- Self-care skills; doing zips and buttons, feeding and washing hands.
- Gross motor skills; coordination, balance, jumping and postural control (sitting at the table).
- Fine motor skills; holding a pencil, colouring, prewriting and cutting with scissors.
- Communication; expressing needs, asking for help and having conversations with others.
- Behavior; listening to others, waiting, putting up their hand and working towards sensory and emotional self-regulation.
We are currently running this group for children aged 4-5 years old , looking to begin school in 2025.
