Our Occupational Therapists can help your child with:
School Readiness Skills – such as developing fine motor abilities, play skills and social skills, following a routine, sitting at a table, and becoming more independent.
Motor Skill development – involving coordination, balance, strength, and using two sides of the body together (eg. working towards learning to ride a bike or climbing).
Fine Motor control and coordination – Such as focusing on pencil grasping, handwriting, letter formation and using scissors.
Sensory Processing issues that impact attention and affect functional everyday skills (eg. fussy eating, avoiding dressing/showering)
Sensory and Emotional regulation –Strategies to assist in developing self-awareness and independence in this area.
Visual perception – Children experiencing difficulty processing visual information, such as learning to read and copy, and hand eye coordination.
Completing daily activities – Such as feeding, toileting, dressing, hygiene, or tying shoe laces.
Learning – Remembering, planning, or problem solving and organisation.
Clinic Sessions
We offer clinic based Occupational Therapy sessions at our South Morang Clinic.
Session durations in clinic are from 30-60 minutes.
